Can you believe that? There are now at least 275+ complete English RGSS3 scripts listed in the RPG Maker VX Ace Master Script List Wiki Page — and the English version isn’t even out yet! There have been new scripts steadily being released every day since the release of the VX Ace trial.

However, the VXA Master Script List still needs assistance from the community in order to consistently stay up-to-date. In particular, determining what script is already listed or not has been taking up more time than usual. It is also somewhat difficult to keep up the list updated with the growing popularity of blogs. Remember that you do not need to make an account with Wikia in order to help out the Master Script List.

And no, I didn’t count that number manually.

I recently purchased a wonderful little gem on the 3DS called Pushmo. I’m not very good at explaining things so I just put up the video to the official trailer. I highly recommend this game if you have a 3DS and enjoy visual-spatial puzzles like me.

One of the awesome things about this game is that you can create your own puzzles and share them using QR codes. People can scan the QR code with their 3DS camera and they will receive and store the data for the puzzle.

Here’s something I made that may look familiar…

It’s the VX Ace editor icon! This one was easy to make since the icon is so simple. Of course, that means the puzzle itself is rather easy as well. The maximum length and width a Pushmo puzzle can be is 32×32 which means RTP-styled sprites can definitely be translated into Pushmo. However, the palette limit is 10 colors. Since pixel art is not my forté, translating an RTP sprite with so few colors is difficult for me. Believe me, I tried.

However, that did not dissuade me from trying to recreate other images:

Gender Requirements is an add-on for my previously made script, Gender Functions. This add-on allows developers to define gender requirements for equipment, skills, and items. Built-in support for Yanfly Engine Ace – Class System is included which means you can set gender requirements for classes as well.

Gender requirements is very simple game mechanic, but it can add an interesting and strategic element in games that utilizes it. In Final Fantasy Tactics, female units have exclusive access to equipment such as perfumes, hand bags, and hair ornaments. Unusually, the character Cloud has access to hair ornaments as well, although that probably means Cloud is a woman.

Gender Functions is a simple script that provides developers the option to define the gender of Actors and Enemies in their game. With the use of script calls and new methods, this opens up a variety of options for eventers and scripters alike.

I initially wanted to call it “Simple Gender Functions”, but I did not want this script to get mixed up with another series of RGSS3 scripts currently in production. That, and sometimes gender can be anything but simple.

Blood magic is a form of magic that uses the power inherent in blood to fuel spellcasting. To put it simply, Blood Magic is the ability to use HP to cast skills instead of MP. This essentially increases the battler’s effective MP.

This animation was influenced by Hydro Boost (ハイドロブースト) from Persona 2: Innocent Sin PSP. It’s quite a bit slower paced than what I’m used to playing nowadays, but I hope finish it eventually.
